I contacted Apple and they say they are "looking at giving me an exception" (whatever that means ) and a legit way to download and install it on a different computer so I can transfer my vault of images to a different computer and decide what to do now that Aperture is no longer my friend.Īny tips to get around this? My central issue is getting Aperture installed on a different mac running high sierra. I've seen internet posts that say I need to have the "app store" version of Aperture to install it on a newer mac. It does so nicely, not by crashing but just says "the installation has failed". There are Aperture downloads (not sure if these are patches or full versions), but none of these are newer than 3.4.5. I believe that Apple only released that version through Mac App Store downloads.Īpple has posted release notes for Aperture 3.01 – 3.6. You need the latest version of Aperture (3.6) to run on High Sierra.
